Joshua really came through for me today. I was worried we wouldn’t get packed in time but he set to work and got it all done while I stressed out, took care of the kid and tried to make a zillion lists in my head of things not to forget.

I’m really excited though. I’ve never been to New Orleans and at this time tomorrow, I will (hopefully) be snuggled into my hubby at a hotel near the French Quarter, snoozing soundly. Then, this time Friday (Saturday?) night, I’ll be at my mom’s house, totally sharing Noah and enjoying my family. I can’t believe the time is here! I’ve been looking forward to this for months, planning all the time. There were moments when I thought we wouldn’t go (it’s not exactly cheap) but Mom is determined to see us and we’re determined to see her. There are so many people that want to meet Noah who have only known him through his pictures…people who should have been able to be there from the beginning.

I better not continue down that line of thought. It’ll get me down and right now, I want to enjoy the excitement. Joshua is sleeping while I watch Noah in the playroom because Noah is wired for some odd reason. I think he can sense that something Big is going to happen tomorrow. Since Joshua is doing most of the driving and I’ll get to sleep in the car (or not, knowing me) it was agreed that I had Noah duty.

Of course, that just means that I get to keep going over the packing list in my mind. I’m going to go insane before we even take off.

Noah seems like he’s winding down so I am off to try to get him to sleep. Tomorrow I will be updating my twitter and probably adding pictures to the photoblog. We’re not spending much time in New Orleans but I can make a little go a long way. ;-)
