There are days I get so frustrated with my husband and I don’t really understand why. I’m far from perfect and he puts up with me, you know? And yet I can lose my temper and say some of the meanest things when I’m hurt.
Therefore, I am dedicating an entry to some of the good things about him (I couldn’t write about all of them because he is simply that wonderful).
He is very wonderful with the little things…bringing me breakfast or something to drink in the morning (yes, breakfast in bed!) or playing with the nublet so I can sleep an extra 30 minutes. He always reaches for stuff on the top shelf for me so I don’t have to get out my step stool. He does dishes for me without being asked. Seriously. In fact, I think he does the dishes more often than I do. He also pulls his fair share in doing laundry and taking out the trash and he takes care of the animals. He’s always willing to let me cry on his shoulder (sometimes, even when we’re fighting) and he’s always willing to listen to me rant about the same subject for the fifteen millionth time.
He makes our son laugh and knows just what little boys like to play with. He’s brilliant with computers (and I mean brilliant) which is actually kind of frustrating sometimes because I like being the geeky one but he outshines me every time. He writes really well, even if he won’t admit it, and he’s handy with a camera.
And he’s sweet. Oh is he sweet. His kisses are sweet, his hugs are sweet…his smile, his laugh, his eyes. His eyes are the most beautiful shade of blue I’ve ever seen and whenever I see him look at me with those beautiful blue eyes, my heart melts and I get butterflies in my tummy. No one has ever had an affect on me quite the way he has.
All in all, he’s perfect for me. He’s always been perfect for me and I knew it the day we met and I knew it the day we got married and the day we found out we were pregnant and the day we had our son and right now. If I get the rest of my life with him I will truly be a lucky girl.
