Today was desperately needed. Noah went to his Nana’s house around 11:30 in the morning. I missed him terribly but I washed, folded and/or hung about six loads of laundry. I also scrubbed the kitchen floor and did a load of dishes…not to mention what Joshua did on top of that! So it was productive and our living room no longer looks like a tornado hit. A small wind, perhaps, but not a tornado.

We went over around 4:30 or 5:00 to eat dinner and I made sure to get my Noah snuggles in. I may get frustrated with him and I may wish for a break sometimes but in the end, an hour is too long away from him. He nursed, we played and we ate dinner (a local pizza place that Joshua and I had never tried before – thanks again Nana!). Then…my hair was cut. My hair. My long, long hair that went way past my waist. I don’t regret it in the slightest, either. She (Nana) did a good job and I love it! My head feels lighter, my hair is already more manageable and I was so sick of having long hairs in everything that this should solve my problem. I may not shed less but at least there isn’t as much hair to wrap around everything. (Yuck.)

We ate brownies and ice cream for dessert (my favorite, mmm) and then came home. Thankfully Noah slept all the way…sometimes I wonder if I hate the carseat more than he does. I’m almost guaranteed a fussy baby if I can’t get him to sleep or if he isn’t in one of his rare window-watching moods. =(

Now he’s out like a light right next to me. We were going to watch a movie but I think Joshua and I are tired enough to go to bed soon. It’s just been a long, busy day yet I really enjoyed it… despite missing Noah for so long.

Three weeks until I see my mom. I’m so excited!
