About Aithyne

aboutmeAithyne is the bastardized version of aithinne, the Gaelic word for fire. I pronounce it aith·ih·nay, but someone who actually knows Gaelic would probably correct me.

I’m Lynn, a transplant from Houston, Texas living in Georgia. I married the wonderful Geek Dad, otherwise known as Joshua, in September of 2006 (on my birthday, no less!) and I am the mother of an incredible little boy named Noah. He was born January 12th, 2008 and is the primary reason for my blog.

Well, that and the fact that I like to talk. A lot.

Actually, I created this blog because I wanted to get better at writing. I used to be passably decent. Now I think I need a lot of work, especially when sharing anecdotes, so I write here. I don’t really write for anyone but myself but I do like to know that people read and stop by. I want you to enjoy my little corner of the web.

I’ve been blogging online in various ways since early 2001 and keeping a diary since I discovered crayons (that’s when I was decent, btw). Now I use Livejournal frequently, Twitter constantly and update this whenever I feel like it.

I think that’s about it. As always, feel free to email. I’d love to hear from you.
